Pointer Plus

The Pointer Plus is an easy to use trigger point (TP) locator which incorporates a push button stimulation feature to immediately treat Trigger point pain.

The nine (9) muscles of the Erector spinae group are deep back muscles. They include the Iliocostalis Lumborum, Iliocostalis Thoracis, Iliocostalis Cervicis, Longissimus Thoracis, Longissimus Cervicis, Longissimus Capitis, Spinalis Thoracis, Spinalis Cervicis, and Spinalis Capitis.

 

Spinalis Thoracis

The Spinalis Thoracis is a deep muscle of the back.

Anatomical Attachments:

  • Origin: Attaches to the spinous processes of T11, T12, L1, and L2 vertebrae.
  • Insertion: Attaches to the spinous processes of T10, T9, T8, T7, T6, T5, T4, or T3 vertebrae.

Action: Extends, rotates and laterally flexes the vertebral column.

Nerve Supply: Posterior rami of the spinal nerves.

Vascular supply: Posterior rami of the intercostal and deep cervical branch of costocervical trunk arteries.
