Individual Position: The individual is lying prone with their back extended and rotated to the side being assessed. Practitioner Position: The practitioner is standing at the side of the table with their cephalad hand placed on the individual’s shoulder and their caudad hand placed on the opposite hip. Description of Muscle Test: The individual is requested to simultaneously, externally rotate and extend into the practitioner’s resistance.
