Individual Position: The individual is lying in lateral recumbency with their leg to be tested being held straight, slightly elevated from the table, and in slight extension.
Practitioner Position:The practitioner places one hand in the vicinity of the lateral malleolus while their other provides mild stabilization to the hip.
Description of Muscle Test:The individual is requested to abduct and extend their leg toward the ceiling into the practitioner’s resistance.
