Flexor Digiti Minimi Brevis

Pointer Plus

The Pointer Plus is an easy to use trigger point (TP) locator which incorporates a push button stimulation feature to immediately treat Trigger point pain.

 

The Flexor Digiti Minimi Brevis is a muscle of the hand.

Anatomical Attachments:

  • Origin: Attaches to the flexor retinaculum and the hamulus of the hamate bone.
  • Insertion: Attaches to the ulnar side and the base of the proximal phalanx of the little finger.

Action: Flexes the little finger.

Synergist: Palmaris brevis, Abductor digiti minimi, and Opponens digiti minimi.

Antagonist: Abductor pollicis brevis, Flexor pollicis brevis, Opponens pollicis, Adductor pollicis.

Nerve Supply: Ulnar nerve (C8, T1).

Vascular supply: Deep volar branch of the ulnar and the dorsum carpal branch of the ulnar artery.
