Pointer Plus

The Pointer Plus is an easy to use trigger point (TP) locator which incorporates a push button stimulation feature to immediately treat Trigger point pain.

 

The Opponens Digiti Minimi is a muscle of the hand.

Anatomical Attachments:

  • Origin: Attaches to the transverse carpal ligament and the hamulus of the hamate bone.
  • Insertion: Attaches to the ulnar border of the 5th metacarpal bone.

Action: Contracts the 5th metacarpal bone to face the thumb and deepens the hollow of the hand.

Synergist: Palmaris brevis, Abductor digiti minimi, Flexor digiti minimi, and Opponens digiti minimi.

Antagonist: Abductor pollicis brevis, flexor pollicis brevis, Opponens pollicis, Adductor pollicis.

Nerve Supply: Ulnar Nerve.

Vascular supply: Deep volar branch of the ulnar artery and the dorsum carpal branch of the ulnar artery.
