The Abductor Pollicis Longus is a deep muscle of the posterior forearm.
Anatomical Attachments: Action: Abducts and extends the thumb, abducts the wrist.
Synergist: Flexor digitorum superficialis and profundus, Flexor pollicis longus.
Antagonist: Flexor carpi radialis, Flexor carpi ulnaris, Palmaris longus.
Nerve Supply: Radial nerve (C6, C7).
Vascular supply: Posterior interosseus of the ulnar artery.
