Thyrohyoid

Pointer Plus The Pointer Plus is an easy to use trigger point (TP) locator which incorporates a push button stimulation feature to immediately treat Trigger point pain.

The Thyrohyoid is an anterior muscle of the neck.

Anatomical Attachments:

• Origin: Attaches to the thyroid cartilage.
• Insertion: Attaches to the inferior margin of the hyoid bone.

Action: Depresses the larynx and the hyoid bone and draws the thyroid cartilage superiorly

Nerve Supply: C1 via the descending hypoglossal

Vascular supply: Infrahyoid branch of the superior thyroid artery.
