Geniohyoid

Pointer Plus The Pointer Plus is an easy to use trigger point (TP) locator which incorporates a push button stimulation feature to immediately treat Trigger point pain.

The Geniohyoid is an anterior muscle of the neck.

Anatomical Attachments:

• Origin: Attaches to the inner surface of the mandible at the symphysis.
• Insertion: Attaches to the anterior surface of the hyoid bone.

Action: Elevates the hyoid bone and the tongue for swallowing.

Nerve Supply: Branch of the C1 via Hypoglossal nerve (Cranial XII).

Vascular supply: Sublingual branch of the lingual artery.
