The Mylohyoid is an anterior muscle of the neck.
Anatomical Attachments: Action: Elevates the hyoid bone, the tongue and the floor of the mouth during swallowing. Upon hyoid bone fixation, the mandible is depressed.
Nerve Supply: Mylohyoid branch of the inferior alveolar nerve (Trigeminal nerve V). Vascular supply: Sublingual branch of the lingual artery, submental branch of the facial artery and the mylohyoid branch of the inferior alveolar artery.
